CONTEXT

CONTEXT

Redesigning the New Penguin Parallel Text Series

After exploring several genres, including novels, textbooks, and literary collections, I selected the Penguin Parallel Text Series published by Penguin Books. Although the seven-book series follows a relatively cohesive system, I chose to redesign the interior and cover of New Penguin Parallel Texts: Short Stories in Spanish, edited by John R. King and published in 1999. I also chose to redesign the French and German additions to the series. The primary book in the series was fully redesigned, including the front matter, body text, and back matter. The remaining books in the series were redesigned at the cover level, ensuring visual consistency with the first book.
